If you have a passion for working with the people and wildlife of Wyoming, experience in biology, rangelands or similar fields, a four year degree with at least 20 credits of wildlife work, and a strong moral and ethical compass you are well on your way to becoming a WY Game Warden.
Dependent on the time of year and their busy schedules, WY Game Wardens are excited to take prospective wardens out for a ride along in the field.
Make the most of your day out in a green truck and be respectful of the warden’s time by being prepared with the questions you want to ask. Are you most curious about the application process and training requirements? Or maybe you want to know how wardens work with biologists to set hunting seasons. We will do our best to answer it all. Reach out to your local warden or regional office for contact information to set a time up. You will be required to sign a waiver.
Keep an eye out for posts from WGFD regarding when the application period for warden opens. These openings will always be posted on the Wyoming Government Jobs website.
